How one-time sends work

With one-time surveys, simply import a batch of people (along with a list of their emails or phone numbers) and send them a survey! These surveys don’t recur and can be scheduled to go out immediately or at a specific time in the future.

These surveys will use the customization settings in your account at the time of sending.

A note about Throttling

Worried about over-surveying your respondents? Don't be! Our throttling feature will prevent surveys from being sent if the respondent has already been sent another survey within your throttle period.

Sending surveys immediately

Access the one-time survey page: Click “Survey people” at the top of your Dashboard, select “Survey people” under either the Email or SMS platform, then click on the “One-time survey” tab.

Load a batch of people to send to: Upload a CSV or Excel file that includes the people you’d like to send a survey to. At minimum, we require each person’s email address or phone number. We also suggest including their name, as well as any other properties that would be helpful for segmenting down the road.

Review your import and click send: Once you’ve imported your list of people, click “Next: Review before sending.” Delighted will show a snapshot of the first several lines of your imported file. Take a moment to confirm that all of the details look correct, and then choose “Send now”!

Scheduling surveys for later

Access the one-time survey page: Click “Survey people” at the top of your Dashboard, select “Survey people” under either the Email or SMS platform, then click on the “One-time survey” tab.

Load a batch of people to send to: Upload a CSV or Excel file that includes the people you’d like to send a survey to. At minimum, we require each person’s email address or phone number. We also suggest including their name, as well as any other properties that would be helpful for segmenting down the road.

Review your import and schedule: Once you’ve imported a list of people and clicked “Next: Review before sending,” you’ll have a chance to review a snapshot of your upload. Take a moment to confirm that all the properties and values look correct, and then choose "Schedule for sending later." Confirm the date, time, and time zone you'd like your email sent, and then click schedule sending!

Canceling a scheduled send

If you want to cancel a survey you've scheduled following the "scheduling surveys for later" instructions above, you can do so at any time before the surveys go out! To cancel a scheduled send:

Click "Survey people."

Click "Survey people" under the Email or SMS platform (wherever you scheduled your survey).

Click "Change/cancel" next to the "You have scheduled sends."

Click "Cancel send" next to the scheduled survey you'd like to cancel.

If you'd like to change a scheduled send, simply cancel it and follow the scheduling instructions again to re-schedule the survey.
