TEDX Support

If you're here, then you're on the Delighted TED account and you have likely received an email that a file was not processed properly. This means that one of the Organizers who visited the Official TEDx Attendee Survey site has imported a file that cannot be read by Delighted, and therefore, a survey cannot be sent to that list of Attendees.

If you've received the failure email that the upload has not been processed, then you must complete a few steps to fix the file format so that the surveys can be dispatched as expected.

Email notification examples

There are two types of emails that you will see if you are supporting the TED account and fixing file failures: the Success email and the Failure email.

Success email

The Success email looks like the image below. It says that the upload is "ready to send" and provides a URL hyperlink to the text TEDx{{Event}} on {{Day Month, Year}}; accessing this hyperlinked URL within your TED Delighted account will show you the completed import that is ready to send. Select Send immediately.

Failure email

The Failure email looks like the image below. It says that the upload to Delighted has not been processed. It contains two files: the "Companion C S V" and the "Organizer C S V." You will open both files by clicking on the hyperlinked "Download" text so that you can fix formatting issues. Please follow the instructions under "to fix" within the email body. If you need a visual of the process, please refer to the step-by-step GIFs shown in the section below.

How to fix failure files [GIF]

To fix the failure files (please read carefully):

  1. Open the failure email (this email resembles the image in the failure section above)
  2. Download the "Companion C S V" and the "Organizer C S V". Open both files and place them side by side on your computer desktop
  3. Copy the Email values (and Name values, if applicable) from the "Organizer C S V"
  4. Paste the Email values (and Name values, if applicable) to the "Companion C S V"

  5. Copy and paste all other column values (e.g. Event Name, Event Type, delighted_intro_message, etc) within the Companion file. Please note that the column headers are not always the same and will depend on the parameters adjusted upon import (by the Organizer). Regardless, you will want to paste all values for each person's record

  6. Open the One-Time Survey page by clicking "Edit and send" followed by "Survey people" on the Email tile
  7. Select your file and upload it to your account followed by "Next Review"
  8. Send your survey
