How it works
Delighted’s MailChimp integration will automatically send surveys to new subscribers of a MailChimp mailing list.
Whether reaching out to folks a month after they join your mailing list to get feedback on the content you're sending, or adding new customers into an onboarding email campaign in MailChimp and firing off a survey 2 weeks later, there are a multitude of ways to help you and the team automate your Delighted surveys via MailChimp.
Setting it up
Visit the Delighted MailChimp integration page
Click on "Connect to MailChimp"
When redirected to MailChimp, enter your username and password. Once completed, click "Log In":
You'll then be redirected back to Delighted, where the integration is now ready to be configured:
Select the MailChimp mailing list that should be used to trigger surveys:
Select the delay between a new subscriber entering a mailing list, and the date a survey is sent:
Click “Save & turn on”

Can I adjust the delay between when a subscriber joins a mailing list and when a survey is sent?
Yes. When setting up your MailChimp integration, you’ll have the option to select a delay. This delay refers to the time between when a subscriber joins a mailing list, and when a Delighted survey is sent to the subscriber.
The delay options include:
- 1 day
- 1 week
- 2 weeks
- 1 month
Surveys aren't sending sending when subscribers join a mailing list, what's going on?
If subscribers are joining a mailing list in MailChimp, but Delighted surveys aren't firing, a great first step is to run through the list below:
- Are subscribers joining the list that you've specified on your MailChimp integration page? If they're joining a different list, be sure to update your configuration to the correct list
- Has the delay elapsed? If you've specified a delay (ex. 1 week), the survey will not dispatch right away, but only after the delay you've set
- Has the subscriber been recently surveyed? If someone has been recently surveyed, their MailChimp-triggered survey requests might be throttled
- Still no luck? Contact us and we'll help identify whatever might be blocking those surveys from being sent!
