Managing Autopilot

Previous section: Quick start guide

Autopilot offers the ability to easily adjust the people scheduled for surveying. Have a batch of new customers you’d like to to be surveyed? Load them into Autopilot. Want to remove a few outdated customers? Quickly pull them out of the Autopilot schedule.

In this section, we’ll cover the steps associated with adding, removing, and updating people in Autopilot. We’ll also discuss how to adjust the sending frequency, as well as how to turn off Autopilot.

How to add people
  1. Visit the Autopilot page (Email or SMS)
  2. Click the button for “Add new people or update existing people”
  3. Upload a CSV/Excel file, including the emails, names, and other details for the people you’ll be adding
  4. Click “Next: Review before adding”
  5. Make sure the details on the review page look correct
  6. Click “Add [x] people to Autopilot”
  7. The following page will show a banner notification indicating how many people have been added and how frequently they’ll be surveyed

How to update people

  1. Visit the Autopilot page (Email or SMS)
  2. Click the button for “Add new people or update existing people”
  3. Upload a CSV/Excel file, including the emails, names, and other details for the people you’ll be updating. Make sure that the emails match the existing people in Autopilot to correctly update them and that you’ve included any property/value updates in the new file. The properties provide will overwrite any existing properties, so be sure to include all properties required per person.
  4. Click “Next: Review before adding”
  5. Make sure the details on the review page look correct. Since you are updating people, the review page will show the notification: “[x] people will be updated in Autopilot”
  6. Click “Update [x] people in Autopilot”
  7. The following page will show a banner notification indicating how many people have been updated

How to remove people

  1. Visit the Autopilot page (Email or SMS)
  2. Click the button for “Remove people from Autopilot”
  3. Upload a CSV/Excel file, including the emails of the people you’ll be removing
  4. Click “Next: Review before removing”
  5. Make sure the details on the review page look correct. Since you are removing people, the review page will show the notification: “[x] people will be removed from Autopilot”
  6. Click “Remove [x] people from Autopilot”
  7. The following page will show a banner notification indicating how many people have been removed

Adjusting frequency

  1. Click the "Adjust Autopilot settings" option under the platform being used (Email or SMS)
  2. Select an option under "How often...?"
  3. Select a new frequency
  4. Click “Save Changes”

Turning off Autopilot

  1. Click the "Adjust Autopilot settings" option under the platform being used (Email or SMS)
  2. Click the link on the right-hand side of the page “Turn off Autopilot”
  3. Review the details on this page to confirm you’d like to turn off Autopilot. When switched off, any surveys that have been scheduled with Autopilot will be immediately cancelled
  4. Click “Turn off Autopilot”
